![]() Feeding of children will also require extra consideration. ![]() Note: this strategy becomes less reliable if a new survivor joins the shelter on an even day. They can then be fed, and the process repeated on Day 5 - and so on. Generally, no survivor starts hungry, and will have been hungry for two days by Day 3. Eating on odd days only, starting on Day 3. ![]() The downside is the fact that you have to deal with "very hungry" state once every three days. ![]() A more desperate strategy that lets you eat only once every three days. Eating on the 2nd phase of "very hungry".This can be useful if you have a hard time keeping track if it's the 1st or 2nd phase of "hungry" state, and doesn't have any downside in comparison with the first strategy (except more complains about food). Eating on the 1st phase of "very hungry", going back to 1st phase of "hungry".Eating on the 2nd phase of "hungry", going back to "normal" state.Due to the scarcity of food, good strategies are: If a character is on either the 1st or 2nd day of 'Very Hungry' status and eats then they will revert to 'Hungry' status. So for example, if a character is on the 2nd day of 'Hungry' status and eats a Cooked Meal, then they will no longer be hungry. Extremely Starving - lasts 1 day, if you don't feed them during this day, then they will surely die (message seen in the next morning)Įating a Cooked Meal or Canned Food satisfies hunger to the previous level no matter if it's the 1st or 2nd day into that level of hunger.Their effects are the same as the stat level. Note: Vegetables or Raw Food counts as half of a full meal(Cooked Meal or Canned Food), and adds a "Still" prefix to the state level(Still Hungry, Still Very Hungry, etc). Not being fed for 7 days total or 2 days after StarvingĬharacter WILL die if not fed for yet another day. When combined with other crisis states, character may have a chance to leave the group. Not being fed for 5 days total or 2 days after being Very Hungry Other become sad by witnessing Starving character Character character complains of extreme hunger Makes other crisis states worse( Illness, Wounded, Mood) Combine with other crisis states makes movement slowdown This is the default state for the charactersīeing fed with Cooked Meal, Canned Food or 2 Vegetables or Raw Food However, being "Well fed" makes most characters content and have positive comments in their character notes. Other characters that witness a character starving will become sad- even if they aren't being directly affected by hunger. An "Extremely Starving" character may abandon the group, taking many precious supplies with them. "Starving" and "Extremely Starving" states can make other states worsen. "Very Hungry" status seems to prevent "Slightly Sick" and "Slightly Wounded" characters from recovering via rest. Survivors need to eat every couple days in order to avoid excessive Hunger.Ĭharacters that are 'Very Hungry', or worse, when combined with other bad states such as Wounded, Tired, and Sick will have slower movement speed. Hunger is one of the Character States in the game.
